Radka Hlaváčková graduated in 2004 in Prague with a Diploma Specialist degree in graphic and packaging design and history of art.
Radka focused her career on painting and working with textiles and then discovered silversmithing in 2008. She studied jewellery making and silversmithing in Oxford and Cherwell Valley College in Banbury, where taught by Lucy Jade Sylvester.
In 2010 Radka became a student with Tony Thomson who has been teaching her jewellery making and stone setting, developing and guiding her towards her first jewellery exhibition in Oxford in 2010. Radka has since showed her work in Oxford and Woburn, UK.
Radka's jewellery is hand made with precious metals stones and textiles. It has a contemporary minimalistic look and the focus is on shapes and textures. Radka adds colour by oxidising silver, using coloured metals or adding stones.
